We find ourselves in an organized system where research shows that working in teams leads to an average loss of efficiency of 25% and as teams get larger this can even reach 75% loss of efficiency.

Research further shows that:

  • 80% of teams fail to meet expectations;
  • 3 to 5% of team members do 20 to 25% of the work;
  • And 66% of teams fail to come up with better ideas and make better decisions than the best team member could do alone.

These are startling figures, showing a different perspective of, for example, the quality of collaboration, innovation and stress.

How can this be broken? Because there are also teams that do have a greater return than the sum of their parts. What makes the difference?

What have we learned from the past and what can we learn from the future? What opportunities arise and how will we take advantage of them? What leadership does this actually require, from formal as well as informal leaders or is the solution in team leadership? How important is curiosity and discovery in terms of team competence? ...

As a partner in Action Learning, WIAL Netherlands, part of the WIAL Global family, will take you through this change and give you "a different perspective on learning and collaboration." We engage with various specialists and experts by experience in search of new insights and solution directions.
